Winter has definitely returned. Our summer days here in the UK seem to have been replaced by rain and wintry winds and it's been going on continuously for days now! Acckk! I've just put my ever-so-comfortable open sandals back in the shoe cabinet...and you guess it right, am now wearing boots again! (At this rate, I should be getting welly boots!)

The sun keeps hiding :( |
But I shouldn't be complaining because cold nights mean sitting by the fire, (er, we don't have a fireplace - so I'm sitting next to the radiator instead) while sipping a mug of hot choco all wrapped up in a 30tog duvet, ha! And of course writing in my notepad. It also means more time indoors - therefore, more time to read, blog and stalk my favourite bloggers on line. So, what is there to moan about, right? Right.
I've missed lots of blog excitement in the last two months. Apologies for not being able to comment at all on your posts during the A-Z Challenge. I've read some of them and you are all amazing! How could you all do that, post each day? I can't even manage to post once a week! To all your awesomeness, I take my hat off.
Speaking of being unable to post enough. I've recently found another book that's just a champion! It's
Laura Bambrey's 100 Blog Prompts. Have you heard of it? You haven't? Oh dear, you are missing something really good. Here's the link, go have a look...! But come back to me after!
With a frazzled brain like mine these days, I badly need this. So, thank you, Laura, for this!
Do you run out of blog ideas, too?
How often do you post on your blog?
Where do you get your ideas?
I post about once a week on my two blogs. And that's a struggle. Thanks for the 100 Blog Prompts hint. I sure need it.
ReplyDeleteI think that's why blog fests are a good idea, too. They present you with the idea. I didn't do the A-Z, I just didn't have time. But, like you Len, I enjoyed reading the posts.
ReplyDeleteHi Deborah, thanks for the comments. Yes, I do blogfests, too. I didn't do A-Z though. It's the last 2-3 months I meant...there was a lot of things I needed to do and couldn't really concentrate on blogging. I'd like to post regularly from now on now that I have more time.
DeleteWelcome back! I don't post nearly as often as I should, but I find interesting things to post about sometimes. I just posted about an incident that occurred yesterday morning in my home. I'll host other author friends, do various blogfests. I post whatever pops in my little head.
ReplyDeleteHi Miranda...will be over at your blog to read your post. Thanks for your visit :)
DeleteBrrr, I will stay in Cyprus, Len. I have cut my blogging down because of limited inspiration. Thanks for sharing something that might help!
ReplyDeleteWe had frost a few days ago, Glynis!!! Arrrgh!
DeleteHappy birthday, Leni!
ReplyDeleteIt's been raining for days here, but it's warm. We've got a tropical thing going!
Hope your return to blogging lasts, while I hope that rain and cold go away.
I thought wellies were mandatory in Britain.
Hi, Theresa. I'm hoping this lasts, too. LOL. I have better blog ideas that I will do regularly so I can keep my on-line presence regular :) Thanks for being there :)
DeleteYay, you're back! :) I've not had a lack of inspiration for blog posts, probably because I'm either doing a weekly series (Writer Wednesday interviews), or helping fellow writers promote their book releases. Once I have some blog time for my own, that little book may come in handy!
ReplyDeleteP.S.: I know I already said it on FB, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY! :)
Your blog is awesome, JC! I'm thinking of having regular posts/series too. :)
DeleteAwww welcome back Len!!! Oh my goodness what a wash out summer! But you're right - it's a great way to just snuggle up to the radiators with hot cups of tea and chocolate and toddies!!
ReplyDeleteTake care
x
Thanks, Kitty! Really craving for some sunshine now! :(
DeleteI am such a sporadic blog poster lately. But when inspiration strikes, I post! As for the cold, come down to the South of France! It's warm here. And sunny. Yet, here I am...inside!
ReplyDeleteHi Samantha...please send me some of your sunshine! :)
DeleteHi Len - good to see you back .. thankfully no --- I just need life to get me organised to that I can write as I go. I must try and settle into a routine of sorts this summer ..
ReplyDeleteand yes - I think I might join Glynis in Cyprus .. it is just grotty here - wellie boots definitely required gear ..
Cheers Hilary

DeleteThanks for the visit...will be coming over at your blog, too. Cheers!
Winter has its perks for sure, but I am so glad spring has finally come to Utah. I'm enjoying the warm weather, blue skies and sunshine.
ReplyDeleteHi Karen...no we've had enough of winter already :( I am now wishing for the summer to return. After all it's the time of the year, really, winter is stealing summer's time!
DeleteThat blog prompts book sounds great! We all get uninspired sometimes. I hope you had a good break, and Happy Birthday again!
ReplyDeleteHi Lydia! I thought of better ways to blog this time. Hope it works. Thanks for the lovely birthday greeting. Hugs!
